BREAKING: Royal Bolton Hospital says don't attend A&E after major power outage
In a statement shared on social media, Bolton NHS Foundation Trust confirmed that engineers are on site. A spokesman wrote: "PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND OUR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT.
"We are currently experiencing a power outage which has affected some areas of our hospital, including the Emergency Department. Engineers are on site now urgently addressing the problem and we hope to have resolved the issue as soon as possible."The trust said that emergency patients are currently having to be treated in other parts of the hospital.
"Whilst we work hard to reinstate power and return to normal business, we are treating all patients currently in our emergency department in other areas of the hospital," the statement continued. "Any people requiring urgent or emergency care will be temporarily redirected. "Please contact emergency services as you normally would and you be directed to the most appropriate place to receive care. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to resolve this situation."
