In one neighbourhood in Salford, house prices rose by a staggering average of around £400 a day
House prices have shot up all across Greater Manchester in the last few years as demand for properties has far outweighed supply. The average price of a home across the region rose by 10.3% in 2021, but some areas saw much quicker increases than others.
"Broughton Park is a lovely, leafy suburb of Salford albeit classed by the locals as part of Prestwich, only 1.5 miles away from the city centre," the estate agents said. According to Rightmove, the majority of sales in Broughton Park during the last year were flats, selling for an average price of £159,523. Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £307,065, with terraced properties fetching £250,550.
