A £26 million solar farm will be built in the south Shropshire countryside despite concerns over how it will impact a "beautiful" landscape. The plan for the land south of Rocks Farm, at Rocks Green, near Ludlow, was debated for an hour and a half by Shropshire Council's southern planning committee on Tuesday.
"This is one of the nicest and most impressive places I've ever been," Councillor Parry said of Henley Hall."It helps the people in the area. They get lots of work from it."The people in this area really feel this is such a beautiful place." The new solar farm will be next to an existing one at Henley and Ledwyche Solar Farm – which was rejected by Shropshire Council but overturned by a planning inspector earlier this year.
