A TV presenter has been replaced following an allegation of ‘derogatory banter’ towards a female staff member. BBC's Gregg Wallace has been replaced on Inside The Factory after the allegation, with the star walking away insisting that he 'never meant to cause offence' to anyone on the show.
In response to the claims, Gregg said in June: “I’ve enjoyed doing [Inside the Factory] for a number of years and I’ve done hundreds of factories. I use humour to relax people. A source told the publication that team members involved would not be happy participating in the show if Gregg returned. He told the BBC earlier this year: “As viewers know, to say I find the inside of factories fascinating is an understatement. I’ve never failed to be amazed by the scale of production.
