The message surfaced on Sunday night
A chilling statement claiming responsibility for the attempted murder of PSNI officer John Caldwell has been pasted on to a wall in Derry.
On Saturday, hundreds of people gathered to demand an end to paramilitary violence in Northern Ireland. The main street of Omagh was brought to a standstill as crowds assembled in front of the courthouse for a rally in solidarity with Mr Caldwell. The statement added: "An active service unit of the IRA were in position to target the enemy within our chosen kill zone with other volunteers giving cover."Irish Republican Army intelligence are now in possession of security information regarding the out of bounds movement of Crown forces personnel.
