Dave Myers has revealed he was left 'in tears' after getting back on his bike for the first time since his chemotherapy
Hairy Bikers star Dave Myers has updated his adoring fans on his health battle after revealing he's been back on his bike for the first time following chemotherapy. The TV chef - who is part of the Hairy Bikers duo alongside Si King - revealed his diagnosis in May 2022, reports the Mirror.
Dave has now updated fans revealing that he's had to learn to ride his bike again after "gruelling" chemotherapy left him unable to walk. In an update to fans, he said: “It’s been hard but I’m not the only one and I’m getting through it and I’m back at work. He previously told The Times: “I’m doing all right. It’s a work in progress. We’ve had some hard years but this one’s been… I’ve had 30 lots of chemo, spread over three weeks and then a week off. It’s going the right way.” He added that his doctors think they can turn the last bit of cancer “off with radiotherapy”.
