The debt relief grant is available to both British Gas customers and customers of other energy firms.E.ON, E.ON Next, Octopus Energy and Ovo Energy also offer grants worth hundreds.British Gas Energy Trust Individuals and Family FundYou do not need to be a British Gas customer to apply for this fund – you can be a British Gas customer or a customer from another supplier.
To support your application you'll need to provide evidence that you've received money advice in the last three months. You'll also need proof of your current household income.You can apply for the fund on the British Gas Energy Trust website.The fund is open to British Gas customers with an energy debt of £250 to £1500.
E.ON doesn't have established eligibility criteria but the Fund aims to help as many people as possible and applications from individuals with the greatest needs will be prioritised.
