🇺🇸 Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary has been described as “quite difficult to watch” and likely to reignite the “epic squabble” between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family in US media
featured royal reporter Lama Hasan covering what was in the documentary, while British royal commentator described parts of it where the couple were speaking into their phones as a video diary as being “quite difficult to watch”.
He also described it as “predictable” and “slightly hypocritical” to air footage from Princess Diana’s infamous Panorama interview after both William and Harry spoke out against it. Royal expert Victoria Murphy said there were no new specific allegations, but rather it was a “chance to tell their love story on their own terms.”
“Their critics say they wanted privacy but actually what they wanted was control,” she told US viewers.dropping the much-anticipated six-episode documentary, Twitter was flooded with reaction from fans on both sides. Royal reporter Omid Scobie, who has written a book on the Sussexes said the first three episodes feature “no “trashing”, no bombshells, just their experiences in their words. All pretty calm and collected. Great commentary about race and colonialism, and the section connecting Brexit to the couple’s story would have made a great doc in itself.
