Square Enix has unveiled Harvestella, a new life-simulation RPG with a fantasy setting coming to Switch and PC in November.
‘s world, seasons are controlled by four magical crystals called the Seaslight. However, these crystals have of late started developing “abnormalities”. This in turn has created an event called the ‘Quietus’ – a season where death is the prevailing weather. Crops are withering and dying, and monsters plague the outdoors, forcing people to stay in their homes for safety. Even worse, these Quietus seasons are getting longer, and more frequent.
That means it falls to you, who starts off as a humble farmer-slash-adventurer, to find out what’s going on. To start off you’ll be growing and caring for crops and helping them grow. You’ll turn these crops into ingredients, which you’ll use to cook and craft items which you can use as you head into the overworld. ThinkThe overworld, of course, will change depending on the seasons.
