Harvey Elliott reacts to Liverpool's 3-1 win at Wolves with plenty of praise for Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson
Harvey Elliott believes Mohamed Salah still doesn't get the credit he deserves as the midfielder revealed his wish to see the Egyptian stay at Liverpool "for the rest of his career".
Salah has two goals this term but has carved out as many as four assists for his team-mates to take his tally since the start of last season to 16 in total, which is the joint highest in the division alongside Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.READ MORE: Andy Robertson and wild celebrations hint at what may come next for Liverpool
"Touch wood he doesn't ever leave but if he does go then I want to be that person to learn from him and apply it in my game," Elliott said. "Hopefully, as I say, he doesn't leave and he's here for the rest of his career. I will do my best [to keep him] but to be just learning from him and in the same team as him, is just a dream come true as well as everyone else in the team.
Elliott added: "It's not hard to see the quality player that he is and why he is one of the best in the world. To be able to play with him and to be able to learn from him, be close to him is a dream come true. I am not surprised [by his assists]. The 20-year-old, who helped turn a difficult assignment Liverpool's way in the Black Country with an enterprising performance off the substitutes' bench, was full of praise for stand-in skipper Andy Robertson after he marked his 200th Reds appearance with the crucial second goal.
