One onlooker has said there was not a dry eye as the music was played
A heartbreaking song was played at the end of the funeral of actor Matthew Perry, who died last weekend and has now been laid to rest at a memorial park opposite the Warners Bros studios where he filmed Friends of 10 years. Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc were among fewer than two dozen people who attended the funeral, including Perry's mother, father and step-father.
At the end of the service, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush's Don't Give Up was played. Don't Give Up was released in 1986 as part of Gabriel's album "So." The song has resonated with many listeners over the years and has been used in various contexts to inspire and uplift people during challenging times. A new foundation has been set up in his memory which promises to continue his commitment to “helping others struggling with the disease of addiction”.
