‘This is the night you’ve been waiting for. I’m Helen Mirren, and I have the absolute pleasure of being your host for this rather magical event,’ she says in the trailer for the special, standing behind the podium in the Great Hall where Albus Dumbledore would address his students. At one point in the trailer, Dame Helen turns to one of the members of team Gryffindor, asking her: ‘Sophia, how Gryffindor are you?’‘I’m pretty sure I’m as Gryffindor as you get,’ Sophia replies while wearing the iconic shades of red and yellow of the Hogwarts House.
‘You think you know everything about the wizarding world? Then boy, do I have a challenge for you,’ Dame Helen teases at the end of the clip.In addition to some familiar faces from the Harry Potter movies, the trivia competition will also feature some individuals from outside the Wizarding World, including SNL comedian Pete Davidson and US TV host Jay Leno.
So will Ravenclaw prove they are as intelligent as they claim by winning the prize at the end of the competition? Or will Gryffindor, Hufflepuff or Slytherin beat them to the top spot?
