The Countryfile presenter was watched by her dad at the iconic Tower Ballroom last weekend
Strictly's Helen Skelton has shared a touching moment she had with her dad after her incredible performance in last week's show in Blackpool.
During the competition's return to the Lancashire seaside town, the remaining contestants danced their way around the ballroom, raking up score and important comments from the judges. In recent weeks, Strictly favourite Helen, from Cumbria, has been praised not only for her incredible dance progression but for her confidence she shows more and more of on the dancefloor.
They said: "Hi Helen, just wishing you good luck for the weekend. Remember just keep smiling, enjoy and have lots and lots of fun! We are really really proud of you, love you lots." She shared: "He was just like, it's nice to see you being you again and it's nice to see you enjoying yourself. That's what you always say isn't it [Gorka]. He's always like 'be like you are backstage'."
