Henry McDonald, pictured here on an episode of The View in 2022, was a regular contributor to political programmes
He worked across various media outlets including The News Letter, where he was political editor and The Guardian, where he was Ireland correspondent.The journalist wrote a number of books about the Troubles in Northern Ireland, as well as a biography of the late UUP leader David Trimble.
