The singer reportedly got into a physical altercation with Gigi Hadid's mother in 2021
The 30-year-old singer briefly opened up about the incident with his former mother-in-law in a new episode of Alex Cooper’sCooper questioned the singer about the altercation with his ex-girlfriendmum saying, 'I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t ask about the 2021 incident. I know you can’t really speak on it but there was a lot out there questioning your character.'
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Zayn Malik was charged with four counts of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda after he allegedly 'shoved' his ex-girlfriend’s mother into a dresser and caused her 'mental anguish and physical pain.
Elsewhere in the episode, the pop-star shared some rare comments about raising his and ex Gigi Hadid’s two-year-old daughter Khai. He revealed, 'Since I’ve had my daughter, the main thing in my mind is trying to be a good example to her,' he said. 'That’s why I’m even doing this interview, you know?'
