The American politician was in Northern Ireland attending events for the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement this week when she made an appearance in A Peculiar Tea.

The former First Lady was in Derry earlier in the week and then hosted a major conference at Belfast's Queen's University in her role as chancellor, marking the Good Friday Agreement anniversary.Lara Thompson, accounting manager for A Peculiar Tea, told Belfast Live the team hosted an event for Vital Voices, a non-profit movement for women in leadership, which is how Mrs Clinton came to be in the restaurant.

"Chef Gemma has worked very hard to get this restaurant up and going, it was a massive honour to have a lot of very powerful female leaders in the restaurant that has an all female kitchen," she said. After giving her speech, Lara said the former Democratic Party presidential nominee wanted to be shown around the restaurant and took time to get her picture taken with the kitchen team.
