Improvements to Accrington’s Market Hall, Market Chambers and Burton’s Chambers are under way thanks to £20million from the government’s Levelling Up fund
A panel from Historic England is to return to Accrington in April as part of on-going regeneration in the town.
Prior to this announcement, a Historic Places Panel visited the East Lancashire town. Feedback from the team was taken on board as grant bids for the town were prepared and now it has scheduled follow-up visit in April.A Hyndburn Council culture and heritage investment board has also been established to shape future plans and prepare further funding bids.
