She made light of the situation
Holly Willoughby has said that her self-esteem was pretty 'low' at the minute as she joked about her pet dog on This Morning. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV daytime programme on Tuesday alongside Phillip Schofield.
One of the stories being discussed was new research which suggests spending half an hour with dogs a week makes us more successful. A study by pet care retailer Rover has found 88 percent of dog owners have seen a rise in self-esteem since getting their dog, Manchester Evening News reports.A similar amount of people said the dog gave their motivation a lift while 59 percent said they have higher confidence because of their dog. "A pet is really good for your mental health.
"However, Bailey does have an upset tummy at the moment and every morning I come down to the kitchen and there's a little present there for me. So my self-esteem is very low..." As her co-stars laughed she added: "Just saying! So it can go the other way." Philip then replied: "Your rug is taking a bit of a battering isn't it?" to which Holly said: "It is. It certainly is.
"The early Monday morning starts following Dancing on Ice on a Sunday are always a challenge, but it’s getting easier, that’s for sure," she shared in one of her recent Wylde Moon newsletters, referring to working on both This Morning from Monday to Thursday and hosting Dancing on Ice alongside Phillip Schofield on a Sunday evening.
