Controversy over asylum seeker housing at RAF Scampton: Home Secretary under fire
Home Secretary Suella Braverman has been accused of an"absence of common sense and empathy" in the latest attack on plans to house thousands of asylum seekers at RAF Scampton.
RAF Scampton, a symbolic emblem of national history and pride, is at the heart of a £300m investment plan to transform the site into a hub for aviation heritage, business, and aerospace technology. "We are continuing to work extremely closely with local councils, the local NHS and police services, to manage any impact and address the local communities concerns, including through substantial financial support.”
