As well as preventing people from rough sleeping, they were able to help 18 guests return home who would otherwise be stranded.
A Glasgow homeless shelter has prevented 184 people from sleeping rough in less than two months since it opened.
The centre opened on December 1 providing emergency beds and hot meals for those at risk of rough sleeping in the city. The charity said they have been able to offer a bed in a 'warm, safe and secure' room to everyone who has needed one this season.As well as preventing 184 people from rough sleeping, they were able to help 18 guests return home who would otherwise be stranded.
This year, the charity doubled its Housing Settlement Officer team who follow up with guests who have accessed the service the night before, and develop a person-centred move-on plan for each individual.
