A number of homes have been evacuated following an ‘incident involving a property’ where a man was found dead.just before 10.30am on Sunday morning.
The fire service is still at the scene and the details of the incident are still unclear. There’s still a cordon in place at the home.Staff from Cadent gas service are also reported to have attended the scene. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘Just before 10.30am this morning , four fire engines from Gorton, Altrincham, Sale and Eccles fire station attended an incident involving a property on May Walk, Partington.A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: ‘GMP are currently in attendance to an incident in May Walk, Partington.‘Sadly, despite best efforts of emergency services, a man has been pronounced deceased at the scene.
‘His family are aware and are being supported. A cordon remains in place. The death is being treated as non-suspicious.’
