Matthew Hurst was seen repeatedly kicking his helpless dog Congo in an attack described by an RSPCA inspector as 'the worst' he had ever seen. The 23-year-old could be heard shouting "what are you doing?" at the poor dog, after it urinated or defected on the floor of his living room.

He will have to undertake 20 rehabilitation activity requirement days, carry out 120 hours of unpaid work, pay £2,558 in court costs and a £120 victim surcharge.
