This is the moment a mum rushed to protect her toddler from a dangerous dog as it set upon her pet. The woman and her one-year-old were injured while out walking.
The footage has emerged while the issue of dangerous dogs is a hot topic in the UK, with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announcing plans to ban the XL Bully breed following a spate of violent incidents. The pet was returned to the owner under conditions. The owner meanwhile has not been prosecuted, but faced restorative justice for the harm caused.
"Build higher fences, put a lock on the gate, put up signage for people to be aware, and not enter. Keep your dog on a lead, and if you know your dog doesn’t like other dogs, walk it in quieter areas and not during busy times."
