Drivers are now queuing for at least 30 minutes to pass the crash
Two lanes are closed on the M6 in Wigan this Boxing Day afternoon following a crash.
The accident has occurred between junction 26, for the M58, and junction 27 for Standish. Queues are forming in the area, according to reports. Traffic monitoring service Inrix posted the following update at 2:17pm. It said: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident on M6 Northbound from J26 M58 to J27 A5209 Crow Orchard Road .
