Heavy showers are expected as the Met Office issues two weather warnings
Nottinghamshire has been hit with heavy rain as forecasters issued amber and yellow weather warnings as Storm Babet arrives in the UK. The Met Office has forecast heavy showers of rain throughout Nottinghamshire, on Friday, October 20, which will see temperatures reach 13C.
A yellow weather warning for rain is in place until 6am on Saturday, October 21, and weather officials say it’s likely there will be some disruption. The Met Office warned that fast-flowing or deep floodwater is possible and could cause a ‘danger to life’. Officials also warned that train and bus services could face disruption as 'delays and some cancellations are likely'. In addition to the yellow weather warning caused by Storm Babet, an amber weather warning for rain has been issued, from 12pm on Friday, October 20, until 6am on Saturday, October 21.For the East Midlands forecast, the Met Office predicts: "Wet and very windy on Friday as the influence of Strom Babet continues.
Later on today, the forecasters says: "Conditions remaining similar through the evening for many as rain and strong winds continue. Drier conditions spreading from the south overnight however, with winds easing. Minimum temperature 9 °C."9am: Heavy rain, 13C2pm: Heavy rain, 12C7pm: Heavy rain, 11C
