My garden is a real oasis for me, and it’s always connected me to others. Local Turkish women pick vine leaves from it when they want to make stuffed vine leaves. I’ve never minded, because I don’t use them myself.
Our red currant berries make delicious jam but are also wonderful to look at now they have begun to flower. I am just waiting for them to ripen. On the ground, we now have courgettes and runner beans. But the easiest thing to produce for me is kale, which grows in abundance.
