and bills. It was very stressful seeing my savings shrink every month, but I’ve never had any doubt that my business will succeed.
I find running my own business hugely exciting and enjoyable and can’t imagine going back to work for someone else now. It is stressful when bookings are quiet, but having a variety of income streams really helps me to keep a level perspective on things. I do, however, find the sheer number of ideas I have for the business, dogs and their owners, overwhelming at times. This creates more stress for me than worrying about money.
Holidays have not been possible since I went self-employed. I’ve chosen to invest money in my business and myself instead. If I could, I’d be happy to spend up to £8,000 on an exotic long-haul trip to somewhere like Japan or South America.
