We speak to Lewis, who works at Rudy's, Manchester popular pizzeria
There’s the big chains, located on every high street across the UK, but a raft of more independent options, too. Ciaooo has just launched its own garlic bread restaurant, following the success of its own pizzeria, and there’s Noi Quattro if you want to stay traditional.
If you fancy something a bit more ostentatious, Crazy Pedro’s is there, as is Nell’s. But the O.G., and the city’s biggest Neapolitan-inspired success story is Rudy’s.Starting out in Manchester’s Little Italy, it now has 19 locations across the country, including three in the city centre. It’s a thriving place to eat, seven days a week, for lunch or your tea.
In the hubbub stands 25-year-old Lewis Hurdus. Originally from Royton in Oldham, he now calls Victoria Park, in Rusholme, home.It’s not really hidden but I do like to go to Corbiere’s. I don’t really get the jukebox hype if I’m honest, but I do like a pint of Poretti and we have that here as well. The atmosphere is always great.I’ll go with ‘of’, and say Tandle Hill up in Oldham, you can see the whole of Manchester up there.
