Huge queues along main road as Greater Manchester petrol station slashes prices
Pictures have shown mammoth queues with cars lining up along a main road after a petrol station slashed its prices over the weekend. Cars were seen waiting to fill up beside the Texaco Garage on Chorley New Road, Horwich, on Sunday .
Throughout the day, cars remained stationary in queues along a usually busy Chorley New Road, with drivers waiting for their chance to fill up with the dramatically discounted prices.Due to the high demand, members of staff waited and guided cars into the station, before drivers parked up and went inside to pay for their fuel. It was announced the reduce prices would last until 8pm.
And there were similar scenes at the Costco fuel forecourt in Trafford Park on July 9. The wholesaler, regularly reported as having cheaper prices than other fuel companies and supermarkets, saw mammoth queues of membership card holders waiting to fill up.
