If you’re a die-hard fan of the film, you probably have a favourite scene, and it’s likely to be the Hugh Grant dancing down the staircase scene, no? Of course it is.
Well, nearly 20 years on from the film’s release, Grant has revealed that was the scene he “dreaded” filming.film from 2003 recently celebrated its 19th birthday and the stars are gearing up to appear in a 20th anniversary special called,, which will air on ABC in the US. A clip from the special shows Grant making the revelation that he didn’t have that much fun filming the dancing scene, actually.“I saw it in the script and I thought, ‘Well, I’ll hate doing that’. I didn’t fancy doing the dance at all, let alone rehearsing it,” the 62-year-old said.
The scene sees Grant in his role as Prime Minister dancing down a staircase and through the halls of 10 Downing Street to The Pointer Sisters’ “Jump ”.
