Hundreds of people 'evacuated' from hotel in Manchester city centre as fire crews arrive - latest updates
Eye witnesses have said around 200 to 300 people have been evacuated from the hotel, which is currently hosting a 'science and scepticism' convention.
Pictures show scores of people waiting outside the tower block, with at least one fire engine parked outside, and firefighters seen entering the hotel. No further details about the nature of the incident have been released. Greater Manchester Fire Service have been contacted for more information.
