He made her life hell and then tried to say it was her fault 😡
Simon Gill, 44, also attacked his partner in front of their children and bombarded her with threatening and abusive emails after they split up. Preston Crown Court heard on June 6, 2021, Mrs Gill saw messages on her husband's phone from another woman, who he claimed was a barmaid at their local pub.
On July 23, 2021, a neighbour called the police during a loud argument at the house, and Gill was arrested. He was released on bail and returned to the house, calling his wife "f***ing rat" and blaming her for his arrest.In July 2022 the couple separated, but Gill bombarded his wife with emails and hone calls. In one call, which was recorded by Mrs Gill, he said he would "bury her".
"In your relationship you wish to stress that what on the one hand was seen by your wife as attempts to control her were by you seen as actions in the best interests of her and the wider family, even though she could not see it like that. Well the odd, 'please don't have an extra hairdo this week because we're a bit tight for cash', I understand, but your relationship went far beyond the best intentions.
