I ate at the stunning Ribble Valley pub and it confirmed my addiction to Succession
Now bear with me on this - I appreciate the headline might sound a bit bizarre but there is method behind my madness.
My daughter Abigail was heartily disappointed one night last week when her friend was grounded and therefore unable to play out on a sunny evening so I offered to treat her to tea. I'd not visited the Higher Buck for a while so decided we'd head over to Waddington. Now this is where Succession comes into it. Fellow fans will recall Episode 4 of the first season where Connor has been tasked with organising the annual company gala during which he has what can only be described as a meltdown when he discovers the butter served with the bread is frozen.
Abigail didn't fancy any of the kids starters so I ordered her one of the four £5 nibbles. For a fiver I was a bit disappointed that she only got five small ham and cheese croquettes and the mustard dip didn't really GO with the crunchy snacks.
