EXCLUSIVE: Lauren Girvan, who is a teacher and event planner, tells OK! about the world of pet parties
Pet lovers are a universal phenomenon- owners around the world love spoiling their dogs, cats, rabbits and everything in between.
Pet parties began in America but have started to become more popular in the UK- as party planner and teacher Lauren Girvan, 34, from Mitcham, South London, knows only too well. “And I thought it'd be really nice just to mark their milestones a bit like you would with your own children, and just make it a bit more of a celebration.
Planning the special days can be a big task, with Lauren sometimes liaising with clients for months, giving them quotes for prices and working out their theme. On the day, she works with the owners to make sure their plan for the day is unfolding properly and organises games for everyone.
