Lauren had given up hope on conceiving a child after receiving a harrowing diagnosis
Lauren Whisker, 30, was told she would never have kids due to suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome which affects the function of the ovaries. She was warned that her chances of having a baby on her own after the diagnosis in 2019 were "very unlikely" so she "gave up hope".
“They said it was very unlikely I’d be able to have a baby. I just felt sad that I wasn’t going to become a mum. Following her PCOS diagnosis, Lauren was left with stomach pain and an irregular period. "I gave up hope," she said. She began looking into IVF but the process was slowed down by the pandemic.
