EXCLUSIVE: For the past 10 years, Marina Constantinou has spent her Christmas Day visiting children's hospitals to do face painting and glitter tattoos for young patients

“Over the past 10 years, I’ve been visiting children’s hospitals on Christmas Day to do face painting and apply glitter tattoos to the patients, their siblings and even their parents. There’s always a great atmosphere on Christmas Day and I come away feeling I’ve made a difference in a small way. My children were 12 and 13 back then but they never complained, even though Christmas lunch was very late. Their dad would drop me off at the hospital in the morning, then take them to help at a homeless charity he worked with. They loved it and it became part of our Christmas routine.It’s about giving time Face-painting trends haven’t changed much over the years – butterflies for the girls and Spider-Man and other superheroes for the boys.
