EXCLUSIVE: New mum Frankie Essex opens up on life as a mum to newborn twins in her OK! parenting column – where she'll open up on the good, the bad and the ugly
Former TOWIE star Frankie Essex gave birth to her twins, whom she shares with boyfriend Luke Love, in May and has since revealed to the world that they’ve named their little bundles of joy Logan and Luella.
Sleep, glorious sleep The twins have finally dropped their 2am feed. They woke up at like 5:30am this morning as they’re sleeping through now – it’s lovely. That in the middle of the night feed is hard. You just lose your sleep pattern, so it’s nice to have that bit of extra sleep. You know what I mean? When you’re up feeding them, you’re up for a good 45 minutes then it’s hard for us to fall back asleep. I can’t just fall back asleep.
Whether it’s getting a nice bath or getting your nails done, you feel a bit more human. I love having my nails done, not that I really go out, but it’s just one thing that I like doing. And having my hair dyed; it just makes you feel better doesn’t it? It’s mad how many people are twins. When I was at the doctors with the twins yesterday, one of the nurses said she has twin grandchildren, and another one said that she was a twin. She said she had a twin brother and that they’re really close, so much so he actually lives on the same road as her. It was so nice to hear.
Some babies are absolutely fine, but I’ve got a feeling mine won't’ be. Luella isn’t much of a crier, but Logan is. But then, when they had their jabs, Luella was crying more, so I don’t know who it’s going to be. Luella hates medicine, she doesn’t like Calpol, she spits it straight back out, whereas Logan will happily take it. I always thought it would have been the other way round.
