He added: “I definitely wanted to get in another fight [this year]. I got out of that last fight injury-free, with no niggles, and didn’t take many shots.
“There was still two months left in the year, well enough time to get another fight, and when an opportunity pops up to fight on a bill like this [you’ve got to take it].“Them Olympics, they’ve gone now them. I’m gutted about it, but they were my amateur days and I’m on a new journey.“Coming here and fighting is nothing to do with them Olympics, my performance, or contest there. I’m on the same journey but on a different road. The pro game is a completely different game.
“We are just looking forward now to pushing on to titles. I just wanna keep pushing on, climbing up the ranks, stay busy, keep gaining experience, and definitely be collecting some belts next year.”
