💬 I rent my driveway after my repayments went up by £550 to help me survive the mortgage crisis
August 2, 2023 10:19 amhow a combination of renting out her driveway and using cashback apps has helped her afford herWe bought our home in April 2018 with a lovely 1.5 per cent mortgage, borrowing about £330,000. We recently remortgaged actually through the app and managed to get 5.5 per cent. Our repayments went up by £550 a month to £1,881.
I use TopCashback and Quidco and other cashback platforms to save cash at the moment, but the supermarkets aren’t on there. They are on Sprive though, and I do my food shopping on the app and it rewards me with money in my account. I can then use that to pay my mortgage.
