“The Americans, they’re lightweights,” says Jennifer Coolidge of nights out with her castmates while filming season 2 of TheWhiteLotus. “The Italians, they’re out and they’re on set at 4am, fresh and ready to go.”
Of course, she was in the country to work. Let’s not forget that. And she very much succeeded at that, rattling off one-liners with unstoppable force and performing what was – in my opinion – the greatest yacht shootout scene of all time. But she also made time to go out drinking with her Italian castmates – “the Americans, they’re lightweights, they can’t handle it all. The Italians, they’re out and they’re on set at 4am, fresh and ready to go.” She liked that about them.
” She sometimes went swimming, both at the beach and in hotel pools. “They really go for it when they’re building these pools in Europe.” And when she wasn’t doing that she was trying to take pictures of all the views, anytime she could climb up something very steep. An amphitheatre, for example.is over, and I, personally, am unsure I’ll ever get over the hand Tanya McQuoid was dealt, we can all walk away in peace, knowing Jennifer Coolidge made the most of every moment on camera and off.
