The Quarter has gained a reputation for breakfast food
I believe it is our greatest national dish and the culmination of the British culinary imagination. I hold firm to the belief that the best fry-up you can get is from a greasy spoon, the kind you would find just off the A57.
The food came quickly after and it looked the part. The fry-up had everything you could want from the English staple with two rashers of bacon, sausage, two fried eggs, a hash brown, black pudding, tomato, mushroom, beans, and toast. To start off the hash browns were very good, light and crispy with a fluffy interior, and while I would have liked a portion of smaller mushrooms, the one big mushroom I had was seasoned perfectly. The black pudding was also spot on and I was glad to see it on the menu.
