The Manchester City ace is continuing to work his way back from hamstring surgery and the club are cutting no corners in the process.
Kevin De Bruyne says his recovery from a hamstring injury is 'on track' - although the Manchester City midfielder has still not been given a date for his return.
The Belgian went under the knife for his hamstring injury after aggravating it 12 minutes into the opening-day win over Burnley. It was a problem that saw him flag to the bench before being taken off in June’s Champions League final. “We are now three months in and I am doing very well, everything on track… But they have not given me a deadline for when I will be able to play football again.”
“I already have more than 700 matches on the counter. Actually, you can compare it to a car that once had to go to the garage for major maintenance.” De Bruyne was initially ruled out for four months. Three months in, it looks like it has been a valuable period of time for the playmaker.
