💬 'I was groped and harassed when working in Westminster, but speaking out changed nothing'
I used to give the benefit of the doubt to those who said things like “you can’t do anything these days” or “I can’t even hug my female colleagues anymore in case they report me”. Back then, I believed ignorance was something that could be corrected via words of clear reassurance that no, those are not the behaviours we are referring to when we whisper or shout sexual harassment. But nothing changed, and it still hasn’t. The “blurred lines” excuse is weaponised to avoid all accountability.
