This year, I was given the opportunity to watch Beauty and the Beast at the King’s Theatre, starring Elaine C Smith and Johnny Mac.Walking into the King’s Theatre was like entering a giant fairy-tale-tiered wedding cake piped with decorative plaster and lit up with blue lights and twirling roses.was playing as the audience took their seats. I was a barrel of nerves.
Then the audience began to boo and shout, ‘oh no she won’t’ --- they never told us to say that, how did everyone know?READ MORE:In an epic scene of slapstick perfection, Johnny Mac ran smack into a set piece and sent the audience into stitches with Darren Brownlie smirking as Elaine C Smith corralled the actors with a steady quip.
