Where Yorkshire failed, Lancashire succeeded
My dad once told me that he went to the cinema more than usual during that long-hot summer of 1976 his generation never fail to mention when we get even a hint of warm weather. He did it to cool off in the air conditioning and enjoy film at the same time.
I've been to Everyman cinemas several times before and always had a serene, comfortable, problem-free and pleasant time which, to me, justified the elevated ticket price . However you look at it, and my experience was not perfect, Megan certainly got the short straw here. Maybe she got the staff on a bad day but I almost feel bad her experience was such a stark contrast to mine.
I would say it may be fairer to label the pizzas "pizzettes" or at least list the size, as they are small and an adult would need about three to make it a meal. The Padron peppers , dough balls and flatbread with hummus arrived during the trailers as we had nicely settled on our little two-person sofa.
There was only one only minor disturbance during the film was when a lady info had a cup of tea delivered just as the opening credits rolled. But there was no heads bobbing up and down like football fans watching wave after wave of attacks, obscuring our view.
