I went to a festival that only allows 125 people in the ruins of a castle
That is what Summer Camp, organised by The Good Life Society, promises to people willing to pay upwards of £330 per person for camping tickets to the 'micro festival'. The organisers only allow 125 guests and experts at the event, with the aim of allowing attendees to rest and recharge.
But I think for me, part of the relaxing nature of some events is the ability to get lost in the crowd, and here as a day ticket holder, I felt like we were intruding a little on people's space. It is perfect and tranquil and in the shadow of the ruins of the medieval Hawarden Castle which was built in the late 13th century and is well worth a visit in its own right - not just for the historic importance it holds as part of the Welsh struggle for independence, but also the incredible views from the keep.
