The club revealed its origins for the Glasgow Times upcoming special souvenir supplement, which celebrates youngsters who tackle like Andy Robertson and save like Craig Gordon.
Carmyle United Football Team, based in the East End of the city, was formed last July in commemoration of the club manager's late father, Billy Armour.
"He talked about it for years and it certainly helped that my son played football since he was six-years-old. During his career, Billy was approached to play for Sheffield United Football Club and he even started up Orchard Park Boys Club in Carmyle which ran for a number of years, and the Man United supporters club in Glasgow in 1990.
