What an exciting addition to the trail
The new trail at Strathclyde Country Park has introduced an app to help walkers with visual impairments and mobility difficulties navigate the area.
It was developed by Filipe Almeida Silva, a Portuguese neuroscientist based in Lisbon who formed iKi Technologies in Glasgow and Self Energy Ltd based in the UK and Portugal.The companies worked with North Lanarkshire Council’s Greenspace team to activate the app for the nature trail, which was recently created at the Bellshill Gateway within the park.
