Lamara Bell, 25, and John Yuill, 38, died after their car left the motorway near Stirling.

A probe into the deaths of a couple who were left undiscovered for days following a crash on the M9 is set to begin next week - more than eight years after the tragedy.

The Fatal Accident Inquiry is due to start on Monday, September 18, at Falkirk Sheriff Court following a five month delay. That December, the family of Ms Bell was awarded more than £1 million in damages in a civil settlement. Top news stories today Scotland's most senior prosecutor ruled it was in the 'public interest' for a Fatal Accident Inquiry to take place because the circumstances of their deaths raises 'serious concern'.
