Lucy Letby was sentenced to a whole life order yesterday after killing seven babies and attempting to kill another six while working as a nurse on a neonatal unit.

The 33-year-old 'angel of death' was arrested after investigating detectives carried out searches on her home and found a number of documents which later were used as evidence in court.and attempting to kill another six on a neonatal unit. She will spend the rest of her life in prison, with no chance of parole.
One of the handwritten notes said"I don't deserve to live. I killed them on purpose because I'm not good enough to care for them","I am a horrible evil person" and in capital letters"I am evil I did this". A note of medications given to a baby boy as he fought back from the brink of death was also among items found under nurse Lucy Letby's bed. The paper towel and a blood gas reading for Child M were both found in a Morrisons bag in Letby's bedroom following her arrest.
